Sizzling September Kicks off Fall Projects for Danny
Danny will reach over 75 million households in September through print and TV appearances. It's the biggest month ever for the home improvement expert who can be seen on The Weather Channel, The Early Show on CBS and Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford®.
Danny and The Weather Channel Welcome Fall From Wisconsin
On September 23rd, Danny will welcome the first day of fall live on The Weather Channel from Fish Creek, Wisconsin. In three live segments aired throughout the day, Danny will demonstrate how to "Go Green for the Fall".
In his role as home improvement expert for the network, Danny appears live on the first day of each season from different locations across the country. Danny can also be seen 30-40 times a week and each Saturday in "The Home Depot Project of the Week".
PARADE and Others Rely on Danny's Advice
Danny's advice on Six Ways to Lower Energy Bills appeared in PARADE magazine on September 16th. He counseled readers to replace incandescent lights with compact fluorescent bulbs, add installation and wrap pipes to retain heat.
October’s issue of Cooking Light features Danny's tips to "Winterize Your Home". Danny also weighed in on "Creating Backyard Shade" in PointClickHome.com in August.
Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford® Kicks off 10th season
The 10th Season of Danny's nationally-syndicated home improvement TV show Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford® premieres the week of September 24th on over 200 stations nationwide.
To celebrate the milestone, the show has had a makeover of its own with new graphics, original music from Nashville's 615 Music Studio and new faces that will appear with Danny on the show.
The show premiered in June 1998 on 100 stations.
Danny Shares Green Living Ideas on CBS September 24-28
Danny will share the best green ideas from viewers with The Early Show audience in a five part series that airs each morning the week of September 24th. It's all part of CBS' promotion Clean & Green where viewers were invited to submit their energy and environment-saving ideas in five categories: Recycling, Clean Air and Water, Insulation and Electricity/Energy.
Danny interviewed some of the finalists in their homes across the country. He will review the best ideas and help choose the winners, who will each receive a $3000 gift card, during the week.
Danny Makes 100th appearance on The Early Show
On September 5th, Danny made his 100th appearance on The Early Show on CBS with a segment on "Painting Outdoor Surfaces" with Harry Smith.
Danny joined the morning news show in 2000, replacing Bob Vila as the show's home improvement expert. His appearances have continually increased over the years. In addition to the Clean & Green series, Danny will be back on the show October 17th and November 14th.
Today's Homeowner® first syndicated show to offer online episodes
In June, Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford® became the first syndicated show to put full show episodes online at www.dannylipford.com. The episodes are part of an enhanced website that, with the addition of our new web editor, now features even more timely and popular home improvement articles and videos.
